The summer is getting into full swing here at Big Bear Lake! Special events are happening almost daily, and everything is now open for business. It is a perfect time to bring dad up for a round of golf, a day of fishing, or for dinner at one of the many fine restaurants in the area. Not only will it be beautiful for the dads out there, it will be just as beautiful for the 2012 grads from Big Bear High School! Congratulations to all of the seniors, and for all you accomplished this year.

Looking for a challenge? This year the Fifth Annual Big Bear PaddleFest is going to test your stamina with a variety of races (5K, 10K, and 20K) for people sitting or standing in their kayaks! They will also feature vendors for people looking to either upgrade their current equipment or start paddling for the first time, and clinics through the day for all skill levels. Make sure you register online now, and get ready for this year’s competition.

Father’s Day 2012

Time to take dad out for his special day! Bring him to the driving range for a warm up, then off to our beautiful 18 hole golf course for a relaxing day on the links. Or check out the wide selection of local attractions for him at Big Bear Lake this weekend, from fishing on the lake to enjoying one of the many restaurants in the area.

Music in the Mountains

The “Music in the Mountains” series starts off this year with Singers and Songwriters “A Tribute to Fathers” this weekend at the Big Bear Discovery Center Amphitheater. Tickets are still available, and it is a great opportunity to do something unique for dad this year. While you are there, don’t forget to pick up your tickets for the entire amphitheater season.
