Big Bear Oktoberfest 2019 Dates to Remember
The 49th annual Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest runs from mid-September through the beginning of November.
Individual, group and party pack tickets are available for purchase online. Tickets are non-refundable and group rates are also available.
Follow these pre-trip planning tips and learn how to pre-purchase tickets too.
Family Ticket Tip: Sundays at Big Bear Oktoberfest are family days with free admission for children 12 and under, with the entertainment on Sundays also geared more toward families.
Big Bear Oktoberfest Caters to Children, Too!
There is plenty for your kids to do at Big Bear Oktoberfest! The Kinder Garten (cute, right?) has game booths, face painting, and a bounce house. Contests for children are also offered every Sunday afternoon at 3 p.m. sharp.
Family Stroller Tip: Strollers are permitted in the outside area of Oktoberfest but cannot be brought into the main indoor area. Areas listed outside the indoor building will be used for stroller parking.
No Pets Are Allowed
We all love our animals but our four-legged friends aren’t allowed to participate in Oktoberfest festivities at Big Bear Lake. The only exception that is made is if patrons can present a valid service dog card. No other pets will be allowed during the festival.
Bring Your Own Stein!
If you are a hardcore Oktoberfest festival lover, then you might be a beer lover that likes to bring his or her favorite beer stein. There are two rules though. The stein must come through the gates empty and the stein must leave empty.
Half-liter steins will require one beer ticket and one-liter steins require three or four tickets depending on the stein’s size.
Enjoy Authentic Bavarian Cuisine
Authentic, scrumptious Bavarian food is what you will find at Big Bear Lake. Discover some of the best bratwurst and sauerkraut you will ever eat at The Munich Grill. Try some real apple strudel for dessert.
Feast your eyes on the complete German cuisine menu to prepare your taste buds.
Enjoy Cool Fall Days
At Big Bear Lake, you can enjoy the beginning of fall at Oktoberfest with cool days filled with sun and fresh mountain air followed by brisk, chilly evenings. Plan for daytime temperatures in the mid-70s and nights that can range in temperature from the mid-30s to the mid-50s.
Jacket Tip: Do not forget your jacket but remember that Oktoberfest does not check coats for guests.
Shuttles are Available
Leave the driving to others and be safe after a fun day at Big Bear Oktoberfest. Shuttles are available starting at 6 p.m. on Saturdays and will take you anywhere you need to go in Big Bear Valley. Shuttles arrive for pickup every 30 minutes during this time frame.
Shuttle Tip: Shuttle drivers will not drop Oktoberfest patrons off at other local bars so don’t bother asking!
