Most people come to our part of Southern California by car. But once you get up here there is no end to how you can get around the scenic mountains and calm waters that make up the Big Bear Lake area. We have the scenic Sky Chair on the weekends, sailing, jet skis, Segways, running, Yellow Submarine (you’ll see in a second) and you can even walk to most places while you are here! This Week at Big Bear Lake
Lake Arrowhead Fleet 434 Invades Big Bear
Here is a chance to test your sailing skills against your peers in the Back to Big Bear Regatta, this Saturday starting at 8 AM! While you have to be a member of the Hobie Class Association, applications will be there for you to join at the event. Classes will be available for those that want to learn about racing, and registration will be at Meadow Park, just over a mile from our cabins. This race counts, so come out and see this group of skilled sailors on some lovely vessels!
Trainwreck Theater Bringing Back the Beatles!
You don’t have to travel across the universe to see a great Beatles tribute band! Twist and shout your night away with Trainwreck Theater, live at the Big Bear Event Center this Saturday night at 7 pm. This incredibly talented band will be doing all of the Beatles’ greatest hits, from “Love Me Do” to “Let It Be”. Everyone who comes, with a little help from their friends, will have an amazing evening.
Running on the South Side Bike Trail
Starting at Bear Mountain Ski Resort, enjoy a tough work out while getting incredible views of the mountains at the First Annual Big Bear Ridge Trail Run! Runners have the option of a twenty four mile, a thirteen mile, and a ten kilometer, for every level of runner out there. The path you will be racing on is well known to the bicycle racing community, but this is the first time that runners are invited to use this track. Become part of a brand new racing tradition at Big Bear Lake!
There are many modes of travel to get around the valley. Boating, running, and maybe even a yellow submarine (see, we told you) are just a few of them. We encourage you to come up and explore all of the activities we offer here! Stay in one of our cabins or hotel rooms for the weekend to experience everything nature has to offer at 7,000 feet in the air. We look forward to seeing you soon up here on the lake!
