Big Bear Lake Weather

The sun keeps shining up here in Big Bear Lake. This is a superb destination to escape scorching double digit forecasts. We’re expecting a comfortable high of 85 degrees in Big Bear Lake this week with some thunderstorms possible midweek, then pleasant 70 degrees for the weekend. That is perfect weather for hiking, boating, and all the events coming up.

Monday: Sunny with a  high of 80 with lows in the 40s.

Tuesday: Mostly Sunny with highs in the 80s and lows in the 40s

Wednesday and Thursday: Possible afternoon thundershowers with highs in the 80s and lows in the 40s.

Friday: Sunny again with highs in the 80s and lows in the 40s.

Saturday and Sunday: Highs reaching into the 70s with lows again in the 40s.

Monday, August 15th: Have you ever wanted to sail above the mountains at altitudes higher than 7,000 feet? Tuesday, August 16th:  Feel like a professional golfer at Bear Mountain Golf Course.  At 7000 feet you’ll be surprised at how far your ball will soar! This beautiful 9-hole golf course is located at the base of Bear Mountain Resort in the Moonridge area. Golfers can experience a calming and serene atmosphere while they visit the pro shop or dine in the Bear Trap restaurant. This golf course is open until Novemberr.  Don’t miss this one!

Wednesday, August 17th: Treat yourself and a loved one to a massage and spa!  There are several spas in Big Bear including the Big Bear Village Spa and Wellness Center, Elevations Day Spa, and even Mountain Mobile Massage and Spa.  Mountain Mobile Massage and Spa will come to you! Thursday, August 18th: The 12th Annual Big Bear Lake Cowboy Gathering will kick off on August 18th and continue until the 21st.  Starting tonight with the Ranch Dinner and Get-Together featuring many of the performers, Big Bear’s Cowboy Gathering always features outstanding musicians, authors, storytellers and poets. Evening shows are at the PAC on Friday and Saturday Night, and will feature an outdoor mercantile and fun entertainment for the whole family on Saturday afternoon and Sunday. Friday, August 19th: The Arts Council of Big Bear Valley presents its 12th Annual Fine Arts Festival; “Art on the Lake” which kicks off Friday evening with an opening night reception from 7 pm to 9 pm. There will be 50 artists from throughout Southern California exhibiting and selling their work.  Meet the artists while enjoying wine and appetizers. Saturday, August 20th: The Antique Wooden Boat Show takes place on the 20th at B’s Backyard BBQ located at 350 Alden Road.  B’s Backyard BBQ is a fun place to go any time of the year.  They have an extensive collection of wooden boats, so enjoy a bit of nostalgia and see what wooden boats look like today.  For more info please call (909) 844-5337.

Sunday, August 21st: Hurry over to the 10th annual Big Bear Valley Renaissance Faire on August 20th and 21st in Fawnskin.  Fawnskin is a beautiful historic town on the other side of the lake from Big Bear Frontier.  Visit the Faire between 10 am to 6 pm. Entertainers will “The Knights of Mayhem, Adam Reid “the Bawdy Juggler”, the Belles of Bedlam, Victoria Goring, Gallows Humor and many more. Treat your family to this fun event.
