Family fun in Big Bear for Cinco De Mayo!

If you had this picture, you would use it...

It is getting nicer and nicer here in the mountains of Southern California, just in time for the first big fling of the season, Cinco de Mayo! There will be plenty of fun to be had at all of the restaurants later in the day, but during the day there are events geared towards the family and outdoors fun. The Big Bear Discovery Center will be open, as well as a few unique events for this weekend.

This Week at Big Bear Lake…

Concert at Swim Beach

It is Cinco De Mayo this weekend at Big Bear! At McDill Swim Beach’s outdoor stage, Cannibal and the Headhunters will perform their classic hits! Other bands performing include Cold Duck and Big Bear local Slick City. El Pollo Loco will be providing the food. Come out for a great time at the beach with the family!

Walking for Charity

Saturday is also the day of the Walk MS: Big Bear 2012 event! You can enjoy a nice stroll along the Alpine Pedal Path with other supporters, as well as raising money for a good cause. It is still not too late to support your favorite team, or even join one!

Bicycle Riding for Everyone

Looking to get ready for the cycling season that is ahead of us? There will also be a community bike ride on Saturday with the Big Bear Cycling Association, starting at 9 AM. Everyone is meeting at the Copper Q, and all ages and skill groups are welcome. Beautiful weekend for getting some fresh air!

It’s not too late to make plans to celebrate Cinco de Mayo in Big Bear Lake! We still have cabins and rooms available here at Big Bear Frontier so book your Big Bear cabin today!

See you this weekend!
