Labor Day Ushers in Autumn at Big Bear Lake

This is the time of the year in Big Bear Lake and across the country when we reflect on the social and economic achievements of America’s workers and take time to honor them. Aristotle said, “The end of labor is to gain leisure.” Along with looking back we need to look forward with creativity, ambition, vigor and patience, as America, once again, works to restore social and economic achievement.

Autumn in Big Bear Lake

The passing of Labor Day also takes us into the autumn months. From mid October into November, Big Bear is one of the few places in Southern California where visitors can take in a true autumn season filled with a beautiful array of colors. The oranges, reds, browns, yellows and golds splashed through the Southern California mountains and the San Bernardino Forest leave visitors in awe. It’s the perfect place for a day trip or a weekend getaway!

Big Bear Fall Events

Plan now to attend the upcoming Big Bear Lake Oktoberfest, the highest altitude Oktoberfest in the U.S. Also coming up this fall is the Autumn Wine Walk , Halloween and Christmas in the Village, the Big Bear Film Festival and the many autumn Discovery Center activities. Then there’s the anticipation of winter of activities, a big attraction here.

We at Big Bear Frontier hope that you are planning to “gain leisure” in Big Bear Lake at our lovely resort over Labor Day. While we honor workers, we also honor and appreciate you, our guests, for choosing to stay with us all four seasons of the year.
