Christmas time is here at Big Bear Lake and this quaint town in the San Bernardino Mountains is full of holiday cheer!
“Big Bear Valley is a magical place around the holidays for its bright sunshine, cold nights, unique shopping, horse-drawn carriage rides and of course snow,” says Marlene Cain, Chairperson of the Big Bear Visitors Bureau. Take some time to follow our map and enjoy the magic of Christmas at Big Bear Lake this year.
Big Bear Lake Village
There is not a better place to get into the Christmas spirit than a visit to Big Bear Lake Village. The entire shopping district and downtown area is awash in Christmas lights and decorations. Take a stroll through the Village day or night and enjoy the holiday scenery. If you are visiting on the weekend, take the kids to see Santa and Mrs. Claus at the Christmas Tree Lot from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. every Saturday and Sunday until Christmas Eve.
“One of my favorite places in Big Bear to see holiday lights in the Village is Christmas Tree Corner,” says Cain. “The Village really becomes a magical destination this time of year.”
Next, make the short drive west on East Big Bear Boulevard to Shay Road to see thousands of Christmas lights and yard displays on 1-acre to 3-acre ranch home lots. It is a must visit street to see Big Bear Christmas lights.
Whispering Forest Drive
On the west side of town, you will find rows of beautiful homes that are lit up and decked out for the holidays. There is no right or wrong place to start when enjoying your trip along Whispering Forest Drive.
