The sun will be shining bright this week in Big Bear!  The temperatures will be in the 50s and 60’s during the daytime and drop into the mid 20’s and even the teens through the nights. Great sleeping weather, but make sure to bring warm clothing if you plan to enjoy our outdoor activities in the evenings!

Monday, October 31–  Start your trick-or-treating off early today at the Stater Brothers shopping center where author Sharon Buckless will be signing copies of her newest release, ‘Evil on Meadow Lane.’ The book is set in our very own Big Bear Lake!  She will be signing at Kathy’s Art Etc. from 2 P.M. till 6 P.M.  While you’re there visit our favorite donut shop ‘O.J’s’ to grab a free Halloween donut! Treats can also be found at Red Baron Pizza, Payless Shoes, Blue Skies Real Estate and Resort Rentals, Valley Professional Services, and Blockbuster video.

4:30 P.M. – 8:00 P.M – Join the community of Big Bear for Halloween in the Village.  More than 50 vendors will be dressed up in costumes and handing out candy today.  This event is very popular among the locals and tourists and will be fun for the entire family.

DailyAction Segway tours is one of the newest additions to the list of activities to do in Big Bear.  The Segway Personal Transporter is a fun and exciting way to experience Big Bear.  If you don’t know how to ride don’t worry, there is an orientation and the tour guides are certified. Learn the history and nature of Big Bear with your very own educational nature guide.  Tours go out twice daily at 930 A.M, and 100 P.M, and are about two hours long. Saturday, November 5– Flashlight Safari at the Moonridge Animal Park.  The gates open at 6:15 P.M. and the cost is free for children 3 and under, $6.00 for ages 3-10, and $9.00 for ages 10 and older.  Bring the family and check out the park’s nocturnal animals.  This is an experience of a lifetime, so bring your flashlights and cameras.
