Big Bear Frontier Restaurant Recommendations
This place offers a little something for everyone, every night of the week. On the weekends, Magic J entertains you as you dine with feats of magic. Thursday night is Martini Night, with martini specials on everything from the traditional gin martini to their specialty Peppermint Patty or Peach Berry Martini. The menu provides a wide variety of dinner options, from burgers and sandwiches to fresh fish and steak specialties. Come on October 27th for the “Tavern of Terror” Halloween party, with food and drink specials, costume prizes, and movies on the big screen all night!
Who comes to Murray’s to eat and drink? Everyone! This is a place that you can find all of the hikers, skiers, runners, and anglers socializing with the locals at one of the best places to go around the lake. It has a unique character all of its own and we would not have it any other way. There is karaoke every night, and the jukebox has a little something for everyone. The atmosphere is much more casual, so it is a great way to wind down after a long day of activities.
Coming in after a long trip on the road? Maybe getting in one last meal before you head away from the mountain? A favorite spot of locals and visitors alike is the Grizzly Manor Café, a Big Bear institution. It is widely recognized as one of the best places to get breakfast before a long day out on the slopes or the trails, since they make sure they feed you well. You can treat yourself to specialty dishes like The Mess, The Blob, or the Polar Bear. You might have a little bit of a wait, but most of the people we hear have a great meal there. Just remember, as their menu says, “Bland Food… Salty Staff”.
