What to do this week in Big Bear Lake
All week. November 22, 25, and 26– Big Bear Valley’s Community Arts Theater Society (CATS) Presents “A Christmas Carol” at the Big Bear Lake Performing Arts Center. There will be 11 viewings of this original CATS stage adaptation of the classic Christmas tale. Mid-week shows start at 7:30 P.M. and on Sunday, Nov. 27, the show will be matinee style starting at 1:00 P.M. Bring the family and enjoy!
Thursday, November 24- Thanksgiving Day! There’s a lot to do today. Bear Mountain opens at 8:30 a.m. and Snow Summit at 8:00 a.m. The Baldwin Lake Stables and Petting Zoo will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Last horseback ride heads out at 1:45 p.m. Big Bear Snow Play and Alpine slide will open their gates at 10:00 a.m. The Moonridge Zoo will open at 10:00 a.m. If you just want to relax and get ready for your afternoon feast, head over to Elevations Day Spa and get pampered. They open at 10:00 a.m. today so call for an appointment now.
Are you hungry yet? The Evergreen Restaurant will be open for business on Thanksgiving Day and will be serving a traditional dinner with turkey, ham and prime rib and all the fixings of a great meal. The Himalayan, Nottingham’s, and Diamond Lil’s will be open and serving all of your favorite delights as well.
Saturday, November 26– Santa Claus is coming to town with live entertainment, carolers as Big Bear lights up the holiday season. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be in the Big Bear Lake Village on the corner of Pine Knot and Village Dr. starting at 5:30 p.m. to hear all off your holiday wishes. Festivities start at 4:30 p.m. so dress warm and get ready for our famous tree lighting ceremony. Enjoy your week and have a great Thanksgiving Holiday.
