Fourth of July Festivities

Big Bear Lake has one of the best fireworks shows in California, and we have all you need to know about the celebration. The Rotary Club’s Fourth of July BBQ starts at 4:30 PM on the lake, including food and live entertainment before the big show. The firework show itself will begin around 9 PM, and KBHR 93.3 will be playing the soundtrack that syncs with the show. The Barnstorm Restaurant will provide food for some of the packages offered, and some outstanding seating will also be available. Get your tickets soon, since quantities are limited and they are sure to go fast!

Old Miners Days

Also starting on the Fourth of July is the Old Miners Days Carnival, and it will run through July 15th. Ride the rides, enjoy the food, and try your hand at games of skill. Buy your tickets online or in advance to save some money on each ticket.

Free fishing!

Saturday marks one of the two days each year that you can fish in California waters without a license! This is the California Department of Fish and Game’s way of encouraging more people to go out and enjoy fishing. The normal restrictions apply to what you can catch and how you can catch it, but it a great opportunity to explore the best places to fish at Big Bear Lake!

It is not too late to make reservations at one of our cabins! You will have an exclusive view of the fireworks on the lake, as well as easy access to all of the events going around the area for the big day. You can even get some fishing in during the day, or maybe a ride around the trails. The lake is yours for exploration!
